What leads to technology?
Friday, November 28th, 2008- Completely eradicating human intervention or involvement in menial tasks or easing the difficulty of doing such tasks
- Giving people more options in undertaking activities such as decision-making and also providing a whole new option that may not be available when not using an advanced technology
- Doing tasks and producing results more effective, efficient, accurate, faster, secure, dependable, and also faster and cheaper with the deployment of the technology rather than using an old technology or relying on human capabilities alone
- In general terms, improving the quality of life
- he competition being brought upon people from the competing against other people and also keeping up with the rapid change or growth of the environment of the world where countries must not be left behind or they will be vulnerable to the more advanced countries.
- The condition of life today is much harder than the past and the costs of living is steadily growing thus using technology would be rather practical than optional.
- The benefits and advantages are greater than the bad things some technology brings that it is overshadowed and disregarded.
This is Research?!
Sunday, October 5th, 2008When I started doing research (more specifically, only data gathering..) for choosing and proposing a research topic for my subject source (which is I am currently enrolled at.., I found it very difficult for me..personally. It is because at the present time, I wasn’t interested in anything at all, maybe those related to my chosen course. But I still thought of some good areas of research. They come from my readings of various published article. Then I proposed ideas or research topics that I only thought of that moment thus not having a very deep restrospect of what exactly it is, only that I was reminded and interested of it at that time. IMy proposal ended up having many loose ends and without an exact direction or intention. But to my delight, some people have read and gave their comments about it. What I love is a healthy discussion aimed at my points of interests so I got into discussions of my proposed topic, but what I haven’t anticipated was one of them actually had a very good idea about it and started to question about some points in my proposal. Me, having partially challenged (maybe..), enjoyed having a good discussion with this one and it ended having our professor attend and enjoyed with the progression of our discussion. That was how it was approved! Silly isn’t it..? Up until now, I don’t have pure intentions of pursuing the topic. If not for my wide area of interest, insatiable hunger for knowledge and information, and also for my great interest and pleasure in engaging in good discussions, I would not have made that proposal approved. Hehe! Pretty ironic isn’t it, specially now that I am kinda suffering for continuing to create the final proposal of the research topic. Having great difficulty since I am the type of person that doesn’t get into things that doesn’t interest me. But this experience taught me genuine things and lessons that some of those who attempted to start a research may not experience. After all, all things that came from research got through with different experiences and troubles.
So that is how I started my research. How is that for a very dull and boring person..? Hehe.. How did you start yours..?!
Our University FOSS and Green Campus Movement

These movements are not yet actively participated by other schools in our regions and our college hopes to encourage other universities to actively participate in these movements.
Computer Science Research No.09
Saturday, September 6th, 2008Philippine SONA: Identiying and Recommending IT/CS Solutions
Effective Population Control for Economic and Social Development
Objectives:
- to determine the severeness of the problem in terms that can be acknowledged and aspire greater concerns for the people involved and responsible.
- to determine the significant factors contributing to the severeness of the problem
- to design an effective solution or framework to control the population
- to come up with an IT solution in registering families specially in the rural areas and could determine the financial capacity of the parents/ guardians
- to create a research that could make not only the government but also the local people to be aware and take immediate and proper actions
Food Production and Distribution Management
Food shortage is another concern for the people specially when the country is dependent on agricultural productions like ours. This food sources are very vulnerable to natural phenomenons like typhoons as well as man-made/ motivated harm, i.e. price control and supply hoarding. The government must take actions to ensure that food are produced and distributed properly. Protections must be placed so no harm can be done in this sensitive area.
Objectives:
- to determine the main causes of the local food shortages
- to determine the vulnerable areas of food distribution
- to determine the factors that contributes to the price increase
- to create a solution to monitor important transactions such as food distribution/delivery and production
- to create a framework for better food production and distribution system
Proper planning for Government Project developments
Objectives:
- to determine the logical factors of proper planning
- to determine the major concerns of government projects
- to create a framework for proper planning of government projects
- to determine the advantages and benefits of simulating of government projects before the start of the development
- to encourage the local government to use simulation or other IT solutions
