SADI, SADII, ITP Update - Integrated System nearing its completion

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Since last year, our class groups have been working on a project that would be integrated into a whole single functioning web based system. The system’s name is ‘UniISys’ as agreed by all of us. It basically means University Integrated System, the name clearly depicts what we are trying to do and for what the system is for.

We designed our systems to provide services for our university and its constituents, namely students, faculty and staff. Even though that is the case, it will not be limited to the campus but instead intended to grow outwards and somehow be competitive in today’s trends. We were motivated to design and develop this kind of system because of the guidance and suggestions of our professor, Sir Randy Gamboa. Through him, we realized that it is more helpful and significant if we use the chances we get in making our requirements for our subject courses in helping in the improvement of our university, instead of just bickering and complaining all the time for the inadequacy of our university in certain areas. We also intend to leave it as a legacy both to our school and the upcoming new students for we designed it to be reviewable so that they may base their projects on it and improve it. We wanted to design our system as the foundation of change and innovation of our school, this time with the help of the students, collaboration of some outside entities and the cooperation of the university’s administration.
