In this activity, I would like to choose the work of Robert Marvin Lee, “Addictive Using Internet”. My primary reason is mainly on the fact that it reflects most of the reality in youth today, maybe some on adults. His review of the research materials are direct and straightforward. Although, there are few citings from the references, I have observed that he directly used some ideas, statements from the sources while adding some personal insights to the idea itself. It can be clearly depicted as a work of an amateur, most likely a student’s. But the review portrays a friendly feeling for casual readers. It does not necessarily provoke your mind into delving too much into the topic and ending up straining your mind by making you think. Overall, I found the work very interesting and good to read.
